traditional skills & contemporary design created by a native & jewish artist

I came to beadweaving and jewelry design by way of a deep reconnection and reclamation of my ancestral roots and a medical/health crisis that gave me purpose, altered my world view, and brought me closer to my ethnic birthright, once removed by adoption.

My work is made with intention and intuition, birthed from the resilience of lineage, gathered together and tethered in contemporary as well as traditional symbolic design, bold color ways, and tight handwoven rows of glass, nylon, and metal.

I celebrate the survival and the thriving cultural connections of those before me. My ancestors were people of innovation, of clarity, and of celebration through craft.

Most of my work involves Japanese glass beads. These beads are sometimes woven with one of kind antique beads, repurposed leather, metals, and even bone. Each piece is a heirloom quality yet contemporary homage to the lives of my ancestors, their craft, their artistic voice, which I am humbled to be a conduit for.
